The unit promotes and coordinates the Bank's engagement strategy in the digital euro project.
It plans, coordinates and monitors on behalf of the Bank the initiatives necessary for the design and realization of the digital euro project, including regulatory production, communication and training activities.
In cooperation with the other central banks involved, it manages the design activities, including the testing and maintenance of application solutions for the business function.
It carries out, also in cooperation with other Bank functions, studies and research related to the digital euro.
