Selection process

How many projects will be selected?

Each Call for Proposals is structured into separate and independent application sessions. The number of projects that can be admitted is specified in the Provisions of each Call for Proposals, available at the Milano Hub dedicated webpage on the Banca d'Italia website.

Who will assess the projects?

Projects will be assessed by an Evaluation Committee composed of Banca d’Italia representatives and external experts. The Evaluation Committee will be appointed through a specific procedure published after the application phase at the Milano Hub dedicated webpage on the Banca d'Italia website. Should the number of applications be particularly high, a preliminary screening phase may also be introduced.

How will projects be assessed?

Projects will be assessed on the basis of the documentation submitted with the application form and an oral interview. The oral interview will be conducted in accordance with the procedures set out in the Provisions of the Call for Proposals, published at the Milano Hub dedicated webpage  on the Banca d'Italia website. Projects will be evaluated according to the criteria established in the Provisions of the Call for Proposals, published at the Milano Hub dedicated webpage  on the Banca d'Italia website.

When will the results of the evaluation procedures be communicated?

For each application round, evaluation results will be communicated in accordance with the timelines and procedures set out in the Provisions of the Call for Proposals.

Upon completion of the evaluation phase, each Participant will receive a communication indicating their project's position in the ranking and the corresponding score assigned by the Evaluation Committee. For the Fourth Call for Proposals, evaluation results are expected to be communicated according to the following indicative timeline:

  1. with reference to the first application round, by January 2027;
  2. with reference to the second application round, by March 2027;
  3. with reference to the third application round, by June 2027.

Banca d'Italia reserves the right to modify the above timeline.
