Why participating to the Call for Proposals?

Milano Hub supports the development of selected projects through a dedicated team and helps increase the visibility of project proposals by promoting them through seminars, events, and conferences involving other Institutions and Academia.

How does the Call for Proposals work?

Milano Hub periodically launches Calls for Proposals, inviting market participants to submit project proposals to the Banca d'Italia on specific topics related to innovation in the banking, financial, and insurance sectors.

Application can be submitted during the application window of each specific session, in accordance with the participation rules set out in the Rules and Provisions of each relevant Call for Proposals, published on the dedicated Milano Hub webpage on the Banca d'Italia's website.

Project proposals are assessed by an appointed Evaluation Committee. Selected projects are supported in their development by a multidisciplinary team of experts from various Directorate of Banca d'Italia for maximum six months.

Who can apply?

Individuals, Italian and foreign companies, universities, research institutions, trade associations, and other organizations may apply to the Call for Proposals, as specified in the Provisions of the Call for Proposals published in the dedicated Milano Hub webpage on the Banca d'Italia's website. All applications, regardless of the type of applicant, are subject to a single evaluation process and compete within the same ranking.

What are the application domains?

Application domains are used to identify the use case to which the proposed project initiative belongs. Applicants are required to indicate the relevant application domain when submitting their proposal. This information is taken into account when assessing the "relevance" criterion. All applications are subjected to a single evaluation process and compete within the same ranking.
