He has been the Deputy Head of the Bank of Italy's Directorate General for Property and Tenders since June 2022.

After graduating in Economics from the University 'La Sapienza' in Rome, he worked for the Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, where he followed a managerial career path at various branches in northern Italy, gaining a thorough knowledge of the services and organization of the banking business.

In 1992, he was hired as a director by the Bank of Italy and has spent his entire career working in the area of Property and Tenders, taking on roles with increasing responsibility before becoming Head in 2019.

Over the years he has dealt with all the property purchases and sales on behalf of the Bank, for both residential and institutional purposes. He has contributed to setting up and implementing various complex organizational interventions over the years. He managed the transfer of the Bank of Italy's investment property to Sidief SpA. As part of this, he followed the whole start-up phase for the new company, coordinating the Bank's staff that were seconded to the investee company, achieving business continuity in the management of the transferred assets.

He was Tender Manager for the consulting services contract, involving the sale of the Bank's real estate.

He set up and concluded the purchase of a building plot for the Bank's new Data Centre.

He has gained considerable experience in managing the Bank's real estate market all over Italy and at its foreign Delegations, and in facility management, physical safety, business continuity, artistic heritage and tenders for work, services and supplies, serving as Project Manager or Tender Manager in some cases.

He has participated as a speaker in several conferences on property management.

He is a member of the Heads of Administration Conference of the European System of Central Banks (ESCB).
