Banca d'Italia is committed to diversity and inclusion, in the belief that every person is unique, different and deserving of attention.
Promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion among our staff fosters professional development, stimulates innovation and enriches thinking, helping to maintain a more peaceful and productive work environment.
This is why we pay attention to gender balance and the needs of minority, disadvantaged or underrepresented groups, such as people with disabilities or neurodiversity and those who identify as LGBTQI+. We work to give due recognition to all professional families and different generational groups in our organization.
The development of initiatives and policies on these issues is coordinated by a Diversity Manager, who works with the human resources department.
These values have been shared internally and are part of a common cultural heritage with the European Central Bank and other central banks and national authorities, with which we signed the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Charter in June 2022.
Banca d'Italia adheres to the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion charter
