Atif Mian, Professor of Economics, Public Policy and Finance at Princeton University, delivered the seventeenth Paolo Baffi Lecture entitled 'The Hidden Roots of Our Debt Crisis'.

Banca d'Italia instituted the Baffi Lectures as a forum for original work by eminent scholars on monetary and financial questions.
