Senior management appointments at the Bank of Italy

The Governor, after consulting the other members of the Governing Board, has decided to appoint, as of 1 July 2019, Carmelo Barbagallo as Managing Director responsible for high-level consultancy to the Governing Board on matters of financial supervision and regulation and for relations with the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) and to appoint Paolo Angelini to the position of Director General for Financial Supervision and Regulation.
