The Financial Accounts report, updated quarterly on the Statistics Portal, provides information on stocks and flows of Italy's financial assets and liabilities, classified by institutional sector (non-financial corporations, households, general government, financial corporations and the rest of the world) and by financial instrument. Financial instruments are ranked in order of liquidity, based on their original maturity and negotiability (from currency and deposits to insurance and pension instruments). The definitions used in the report comply with the methods established by the European System of Accounts 2010 (ESA 2010).
Time series data are available in the Statistical Database; information on the methodology and the main statistical sources used is available in the manual Italy's financial accounts (only in Italian).
