Bank of Italy

The conference on "Innovation in Italy" was held at the Bank of Italy's Head Office on 16 January, 2014.

Innovation is an important driver for economic growth and, as emerged in recent years of recession, can be a critical factor of success for enterprises and for an entire economic system.

In view of the serious delay that Italy suffers compared to the main European countries, the conference explores the main determinants of such a delay and derive some guidelines for economic policy.
