The Bank of Italy at the 30th Turin International Book Fair

From 18 to 22 May the Bank of Italy will take part in the 30th International Book Fair in Turin’s Lingotto district.

At the Bank of Italy’s stand, visitors will be able to find out about the Bank’s services, its economic and financial training initiatives, its publications, and what the Financial Ombudsman does.

The Bank's participation at the Book Fair will focus on financial education and there will be two workshops where students can take part in group activities:

  1. Spending Management Workshop for middle and high school students to learn how to manage money and plan their spending;
  2. Workshop on Non-Cash Payment Instruments, aimed at high schools, where students can learn about the benefits and risks of using payment cards.

In addition to the workshops there will be some short lectures for primary and secondary schools on basic economic principles, such as money, prices, inflation, spreads, risk, exchange rates and human capital, while a presentation of the new Europa series €50 banknote will focus on creativity, security, and technology.

The Bank’s stand also features the multimedia installation ‘The ideas behind the banknote’, an exhibition that gathers together all the works presented by the schools that have competed for prizes in the annual competitions organized by the Bank.

The Bank of Italy is in Pavilion 3, Stand R10-S09.
