Review of the Systemic Risk Buffer - Launch of Public Consultation

Today, Banca d'Italia has launched a public consultation on the review of the Systemic Risk Buffer (SyRB). This measure, introduced in 2024, is currently set at 1 per cent of domestic exposures weighted for credit and counterparty risk. Further details on the grounds for the review are provided in the consultation document (only in Italian).
