MUDEM to hold three events at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples
From April to September 2026, the National Archaeological Museum of Naples will host 'The Adventure of Money - The Everlasting Exchange', a three-event series co-organized with MUDEM - the Money Museum of Banca d'Italia.
The first event, 'The Gold of Naples. Devotion, Money and Trust', is scheduled for Friday, 24 April at 11.00 am. The event will cover the value of gold in its symbolic dimension, its use in coinage and its role in modern reserves. Fabio Panetta, Governor of Banca d'Italia, will take part in the event.
The second event, 'Trust and Record-Keeping: From the Sulpicii Archive to Blockchain Technology' (22 June, 5.00 pm), will explore the role of record-keeping - from antiquity to the digital age - as the foundation of economic systems. Chiara Scotti, Deputy Governor of Banca d'Italia, will take part in the event.
The series will conclude in September with 'Playing with Numbers. Statistics as a Sixth Financial Sense', which will provide an overview of the statistical tools needed to navigate uncertainty and to make informed financial decisions.
