From 1 April, the EuroSteps Walking Challenge begins - Steps to master your money

1 April 2026

Today, 1 April, marks the launch of the EuroSteps Walking Challenge, a competition launched by the European Central Bank in collaboration with 15 other National Central Banks of the European Union, built around the idea of joining together physical wellbeing and financial literacy.

From 1 to 30 April, by using the Walk 15 app and joining the EuroSteps Challenge, participants can automatically track their daily steps in a competition between countries and with themselves, while receiving notifications and tips to make more informed economic and financial decisions each day.

The ten most active participants will receive a prize, including an Interrail Pass valid for four days for two people, a Bembel (a traditional Frankfurt jug), or a gift bag with ECB-branded items. Watch the video down for instructions.
