The European Central Bank has published the fourth Progress Report of the Rulebook Development Group (RDG). The RDG is responsible for drafting the rulebook for the digital euro payment scheme. The report illustrates the progress made since the previous progress report, published in September 2024. The updates concern three key areas: the updating of existing sections, to reflect the comments received; the creation of new sections of the rulebook, thanks to the work carried out with market participants in the working groups; and the identification of new thematic areas, which emerged during the sessions with expert market representatives.
