€-coin picks up in September but remains negative

The €-coin indicator rose in September (to -0.18, from -0.34 in August), while still confirming the underlying weakness in euro-area activity.

The upward trend reflected a rebound in a number of demand indicators, which more than offset the deterioration in household and business confidence.
