Banca d'Italia received the Central Banking Award 2025 in the area of risk management. The Central Banking Awards, now in their 12th year, recognize excellence in the central banking community, which faces significant institutional and operational challenges amidst inflationary pressures and rapid technological change. Banca d'Italia won the risk manager award for having developed new financial risk assessment methodologies and for having improved the analysis of firm creditworthiness by incorporating sustainability criteria in its assessments.
