Born in Randazzo, in the province of Catania, in 1885. He was a Treasury Inspector, an official of Banca commerciale italiana, and from 1932 the Bank of Italy's representative in Berlin. In February 1944 he was appointed Director General (of the part of the Bank located in the North of Italy) to replace Acanfora; he resigned in July of the same year when the Bank was commandeered by the government of the Republic of Salò. Died in 1958.
