The number of records and the overall totals for the quantitative variables (expenditure, number of travelers, number of overnight stays) are given for each sub-file within the file: Totals for checking (XLS format).

With the publication of the 2018 microdata, some changes were introduced to the files containing the "main" variables and the "secondary" variables, with the aim of facilitating the use of the database.

In particular, the changes concerned:

1. the movement of some variables, previously classified as "principal", among the "secondary" ones;
2. the elimination of some "secondary" variables which, although present in the original dataset, are functional exclusively to the data acquisition procedures;
3. the elimination of the calculated variables, not present in the original dataset; however, these variables can be obtained using relationships described in the "Manual" starting from the other variables present in the microdata.

The described changes have been added to the usual maintenance of the microdata, which involves the elimination of the variables no longer in use and the addition of the newly introduced ones.

The files related to the weighting factors have not been modified.
