The wealth of Italy's institutional sectors

In January 2022, the Bank of Italy and Istat started publishing statistics on the wealth of Italy's institutional sectors. The report contains findings and methodological notes that provide an integrated analysis of real and financial wealth and its evolution over time, and includes an international comparison with advanced economies. It expands a previous report, 'The wealth of Italian households and non-financial corporations (discontinued)', published in 2019, related only to households and non-financial corporations. Previously, between 2007 and 2015 the Bank of Italy published some balance sheet data on a part of the household sector (see 'Household Wealth in Italy (discontinued)').
