Since January 2022, the Bank of Italy and Istat have published statistics on the amount and composition of the wealth of institutional sectors in Italy, together with a comparison with other advanced economies. The publication includes analyses and methodological notes aimed at facilitating the integrated assessment of real and financial information and its evolution over time. The publication expands on the one released by the Bank of Italy and Istat in 2019, which covered only Italian households and non-financial corporations (see 'The wealth of Italian households and non-financial corporations (discontinued)'). Previously, between 2007 and 2015, the Bank of Italy published information on the wealth of part of the household sector (see 'Household Wealth in Italy (discontinued)').
