In addition to describing the Bank of Italy's various functions, the report contains non-financial data and details of the Bank's social and environmental initiatives.

A description of the role and institutional objectives assigned by law to the Bank is given into the Activity and Sustainability Report.

Unless otherwise indicated, the report is updated with the information available at 30 April 2023.

The yearly accounts and a commentary on the results of the financial year 2022 are presented in the Bank of Italy's Annual Accounts published on 31 March 2023.
