Survey of Industrial and Service Firms in 2003Supplements to the Statistical Bulletin - Sample Surveys

The interviews for the sample survey of industrial and service firms with 20 or more employees for the year 2003 were conducted between January and April 2004.

The sample consists of 3,143 firms in industry excluding construction, 1,236 of which with 20 to 49 employees and 1,907 with 50 or more, and of 994 non-financial private service firms, 374 of which with 20 to 49 employees and 620 with 50 or more. The sampling fraction, i.e. the ratio of firms sampled to the respective reference population, is 7.8 per cent for industry and 4 per cent for services.
