The Rules of the first Call for Proposals of FinTech projects for Milano Hub, the innovation centre developed by the Bank of Italy to support the digital evolution of the financial market, have been published.
From 27 September to 29 October 2021 it is possible to present innovative projects in the FinTech sector. Up to 10 projects among those presented will be given access to Milano Hub and get support for their development: dedicated teams will offer participants their expertise in the banking, financial and insurance sectors and in specific fields (e.g. IT, legal, etc.).
The projects can be submitted by three different categories of participants, Italian or foreign, to dedicated areas of operation within Milano Hub:
- Fintech Hub: non-bank/non-financial undertakings (e.g. technology providers);
- Innovation Hub: banking, financial and insurance intermediaries;
- Research & Development Hub: universities, research institutes and other bodies.
Projects can also be submitted jointly by more than one applicant.
The theme of the first edition of the Call for Proposals is:
"The contribution of artificial intelligence in improving the provision of banking, financial and payment services to businesses, households and the public administration, with a particular focus on financial inclusion, adequate consumer protection, and data security".
Only initiatives relating to innovative projects for which the marketing phase has not begun may apply.
Further information can be found in the section dedicated to the Milano Hub's Call for Proposals 2021.
