Services for institutional clients

Banca d'Italia provides a wide range of financial services to institutional clients:

Services for non-euro area clients are provided under a harmonized Eurosystem framework (Eurosystem Reserve Management Services - ERMS), which can be customized to meet specific client needs. The provision of investment services under ERMS aims to support the use of the euro as an international currency by the central banks and monetary authorities of non-euro area countries and by supranational organizations.

For clients within the euro area, the services provided are based on ad hoc contracts.

  • Synergy with the Bank's own portfolio investment and settlement activities, using the same trading platforms, counterparties and information providers.
