Born in Castellammare di Stabia in 1884. Official of the Ministry of Finance, he became Inspector General in 1938. He was appointed Director General of the Bank of Italy in 1940 to replace Troise. After the fall of Fascism, he was made Minister of Trade and Foreign Currency in the first Badoglio government. Died in 1976.
