This section shows the number of the Bank's employees and its total staff costs for the current and the previous year.
The tables are drawn from the Annual Report, which is released on 31 May each year. For correct interpretation of the total staff cost, the data are supplemented by the "Notes to the Accounts" of the Bank of Italy's Annual Accounts.
Additional information and comment on the Bank's staff are given in the annual "Report on Operations and Activities", also released on 31 May.
