Paola Ansuini

High-level advisor to the Director General

A political science graduate of LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome, Paola Ansuini has worked throughout her career in institutional communications across central banking and institutions. At Banca d'Italia she has held senior and leadership roles including Deputy Head of the Bank's Brussels office, Chief Press Officer, Deputy Head of the Secretariat to the Governing Board, and Head of the Communications Directorate. She has been responsible for communication strategies and media relations during major international summits including IMF, World Bank, G7, G8, and G20 meetings, and has been an active member of various bodies and committees within the European System of Central Banks. Her government experience includes serving as spokesperson for Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and as Head of Communications for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Since 2023, she has been responsible for Banca d'Italia's communications on matters of financial education and consumer protection. In her various roles, she has strived to manage institutional communications, keeping in tune with the evolving landscape of media and public engagement, in furtherance of transparency, accessibility, and public trust.
