How to apply

Read carefully the Notice of competition.

You can only apply by using the dedicated Application on the Bank's website.

You must provide a paper you consider to be particularly representative of your scientific output and a research statement.

In the research statement you should: describe your general scientific profile and research interests; outline a specific research project you plan to carry out during the fellowship period; explain if and in what way you believe your project and, more broadly, your expertise can contribute to the research of each of the hosting Directorates.

It is important for the thorough assessment of your application that you explain how do you see yourself, your expertise and research agenda fitting in any of the hiring Directorates; in case you don't see any fit, feel free to say so.

You must also upload an updated curriculum vitae and a copy of a valid identity document.

Applications must also be supported by at least two letters of reference from university professors or economists at national or international research centres, written on headed paper and signed personally. The referees must send the letters directly to the e-mail address personale.fellowship@bancaditalia.it ahead of the deadline for the submission of fellowship applications.

The deadline for applications is - strictly - 18 November 2024 16:00/4.00 pm (CET).

Applications must be submitted through the dedicated online portal. Please note that the application is submitted by the system only if all the fields have been filled in and all the required documents have been fully uploaded.

Immediately after the deadline the online application portal will automatically be deactivated, and any ongoing uploading of documents will be annulled. To avoid risking delays due to an excessive concentration of uploads of applications close to the deadline, candidates are strongly advised to submit their application at least a few hours before the deadline.

We will not be able to consider applications not submitted through the dedicated portal, nor sent after the deadline or not accompanied by the required documentation or identity document.
