Raising the full retirement age increases the length of individuals' working horizon, possibly causing them to revise their labour supply decisions over their entire life cycle. These changes may spill over into their partner’s labour supply too. This paper investigates the effects of raising the full retirement age, as envisaged by the 2011 pension reform, on the labour market participation of individuals at different ages and of their partners.

As a result of the pension reform, women aged between 45 and 59 increased their labour market participation. Men also augmented their labour supply in response to changes in their partners' working horizon: they decided to postpone their retirement, even though it was not envisaged by the pension reform.
