The Bank of Italy's Environment Report illustrates the main indicators of the impact of the Bank's activities on the environment and the projects carried out in line with the objectives of its own Environmental Policy: the sustainable use of energy and natural resources, optimal waste management, sustainable mobility, green procurement, and the promotion of an environment-friendly culture.
The pandemic and the recourse to remote working have affected the Bank's environmental impact. Compared with the previous year, there was a reduction of 28 per cent in the overall carbon footprint as a result of lower emissions related to commuting and business trips.
