The Central Credit Register (CR) is a database that provides an overall picture of households' and firms' debts towards the banking and financial system.

It can be used by customers with a good credit history to obtain loans more easily and with better terms and conditions.

It helps banks and financial companies to assess the customers' ability to repay loans.
