Economic developments in Valle d'Aosta in the year 2005Update

The signs of recovery in the final months of last year were partially confirmed in the first half of 2006. Bank lending grew again, boosted by consumer households’ demand for credit for the purchase of houses and other durable goods. Loan quality improved, thanks in part to the positive results in some sectors of industry. Overall, savers’ portfolios remained weighted towards liquid instruments and characterized by low risk.
