The Bank of Italy's Research Data Center has released a new software, named Remote EXecution (REX), which allows researchers to process confidential microdata collected by the Bank of Italy. REX provides the same services currently offered by the BIRD application (Bank of Italy remote access to micro data) with some additional features, including an interactive user interface to submit code and download outputs.
REX replaces the current BIRD system, which will remain available until 24 February 2023, to ensure a smooth transition to the new software by current users.
