The ECB has published the list of stakeholders participating in the second wave of the exploratory work on using new technologies for wholesale central bank money settlement. The programme is of great relevance to the Eurosystem and Banca d'Italia, which is engaged in its dual role as a central bank providing one of the trial solutions (c.d. TIPS Hash-Link) and supporting the Italian operators' participation. The ECB has also provided information about wave 1 participants. The solutions will also be tested as part of the project Meridian FX project, launched by the Eurosystem together with the London BIS Innovation Hub and the Bank of England to develop a DLT-capable interoperability mechanism for foreign exchange transactions.
