Exploratory work on new technologies for wholesale central bank money settlement

The ECB has published an update on the exploratory work on using new technologies for wholesale central bank money settlement. The programme is of great relevance to the Eurosystem and Banca d'Italia, which is engaged in its dual role as a central bank providing one of the trial solutions (c.d. TIPS Hash-Link) and supporting the Italian operators' participation.
