What is a CERT/CSIRT?
The creation of the first CERT at a global level originated in 1988 following the Morris worm cyber incident, which caused parts of the Internet to be shut down. Following this event, the CERT Coordination Center (CERT/CC) was established at Carnegie Mellon University to coordinate response in cyber emergencies, prevent incidents, and promote a global culture of cyber security. Today the term CERT or CSIRT refers to a team of experts who study and monitor the developments of cyber threats and offers responsive, preventive and proactive security services.
Over the years, more and more organizations and institutions have equipped themselves with such units that are also fundamental to ensure the mutual recognition and collaboration between entities belonging to different sectors.
What is meant by cyber security awareness?
The aim of cyber security awareness is to educate and train an organization's staff, or the general public, about the main risks associated with cyber threats and about acting responsibly to prevent them, so that we can safely enjoy the benefits of technology and transform the human element from a vulnerability to a sentinel that is capable of detecting and neutralizing a potential cyberattack.

Information sharing is the process that defines the terms of the voluntary exchange of data, information and intelligence about cyber events or incidents between different organizations as part of a relationship of trust.
What is situational awareness?
Situational awareness is the ability, among an organization's management, to adequately understand developments in the cyber threat scenario in relation to the interests to be protected.
