In order to provide an up-to-date overview of the main risks and vulnerabilities of the banking sector and to respond to frequently asked questions about the situation of specific banks, the Bank of Italy carries out studies on issues that are important when assessing the stability of the Italian financial system. Governing Board members and other senior officials talk about these studies at public events and the Bank also publishes information notes. In-depth analyses on specific issues include Notes on Financial Stability and Supervision and some of the papers published in the series Temi di Discussione (Working Papers) and Questioni di Economia e Finanza (Occasional Papers).
