Notice concerning the 2023 contribution to the Single Resolution Fund

As from 1 January 2016, intermediaries falling within the scope of the Single Resolution Mechanism (SRM) are required to participate to the Single Resolution Fund (SRF) through annual ex-ante contributions, in line with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 806/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 July 2014.

For the 2023 contribution period, as in previous years, the institutions are required to pay one eight of the overall target level of the SRF, as determined by the Single Resolution Board (SRB).

For this purpose, the data collection process for the 2023 ex-ante contributions calculation has been started. The SRB will perform the calculation in accordance with the provisions of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/63 and of Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/81.  

In this respect, Italian intermediaries falling within the scope of the SRF are required to send to the Bank of Italy the data for the calculation of the 2023 ex-ante contributions by 9 January 2023, in accordance with the instructions provided with the communication regarding the start of the 2023 contribution cycle, transmitted to the contributing institutions by the Bank of Italy.
