"Crypto-assets' ecosystems in the international landscape"23-24 March 2023

The course examines EU regulatory aspects compared with some other jurisdictions and the technical traits that characterize crypto-assets; it also deals with ongoing discussions at international level by standard-setting bodies to apply to crypto-asset ecosystems principles in financial market infrastructures and on anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism and a specific prudential treatment for financial institutions investing in crypto-assets. The risks and benefits of using crypto-assets for the financial system are also described.
