Central banks, in charge of financial and monetary stability, can play a key role in smoothing the risks of the de-carbonization of the economy and helping to redirect resources towards green initiatives. Banca d'Italia has been very clear in its view that climate and sustainability issues are a source of risk for the financial system and may hamper the ability of central banks to pursue their mandates.

The participants in this seminar will benefit from the experience of people observing these issues from different perspectives: monetary policy and financial stability specialists, managers of the Bank's portfolio, and experts in banking supervision.
