She was born in Rome on 4 June 1962 and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Law from the Sapienza University of Rome in 1985.

In 1988, she joined the Bank of Italy and was assigned to human resources (HR), where over the years she has worked on trade union relations, regulations, supplementary pension schemes, corporate welfare, training, mentoring and communication initiatives, disciplinary proceedings, and tenders.

In 2001, she was involved as HR representative in the introduction of the Bank's supplementary pension fund and coordinated the setting up of the fund's operations.

As the Head of the Staff Services Division since 2013, she has been promoting a project for flexible corporate welfare.

In 2017, she was appointed Deputy Head of the General Affairs Directorate. In that role, she coordinated the design and implementation of a new computer-based workflow system for managing the Bank's official documents, and launched a project for the digitization, disposal or reallocation of the documents contained in the Bank's paper archives.

Since 2018, she has been coordinating the Bank of Italy's Equal Opportunity Committee.

She was a member of numerous Committees for internal staff promotion procedures and the Chair of several selection boards for hiring new graduates.

In 2020, she was appointed Deputy Head of the new Information Management Directorate, becoming Head of Directorate on 1 August 2022.
