Banca d'Italia publishes detailed statistics on banks' balance sheets, including the main asset and liability items, non-performing loans, the composition of securities portfolios, securitisations and other relevant aspects. Most of these statistics are harmonised within the Eurosystem.
Data are also available on the interest rates applied by banks to deposits and loans, as well as information on monetary policy, such as monetary and credit aggregates. Banking statistics are also available with geographical and sectoral breakdowns.
Banca d'Italia disseminates also the results of surveys on bank lending, foreign exchange and over-the-counter derivatives held at bank intermediaries.
