Banca d'Italia publishes statistics on the Italian market for securities issued by resident entities, government securities, portfolio management services and investment funds. Available financial market statistics are organised into two main areas:
- Securities: includes information on securities (gross and net issues, redemptions and outstanding amounts of securities issued by residents in Italy) and government securities (yields at issue, yields for the main market segments, trading volumes, average residual maturity, duration, yields on benchmark government securities and interest rates on Treasury bills)
- Institutional investors: includes statistics on the assets, net subscriptions and portfolio composition of portfolio management services provided by banks, investment firms and asset management companies, as well as on the balance sheets of Italian investment funds (open-end, harmonised and non-harmonised), the net assets and net subscriptions of Italian and foreign funds marketed in Italy, and the balance sheets of resident insurance companies
