Information on the economic and financial conditions of households comes from different sources. National accounts, through the Financial Accounts and balance sheets, provide detailed information on financial and non-financial assets, as well as on financial liabilities. Surveys conducted by Banca d'Italia provide additional quantitative and qualitative information on turnover, investment, employment, inflation expectations, etc.; another survey focuses on financial literacy and the digitalisation of small firms.
