II - The Balance Sheet Accounts of Banks of Issue 1894-1990edited by Massimiliano Caron and Luciano Di Cosmo

This work provides a reconstruction and analysis of the accounts of the banks of issue since 1894, the year the Bank of Italy began operations, to 1990. The subject of the research are the accounts of the Bank of Italy, Banco di Napoli and Banco di Sicilia (up to the unification of the issuing), as well as those of the National Institute for Foreign Exchange (Ince) and Italian Foreign Exchange Office (Uic). This research also draws up a consolidated format of these accounts, whose aggregated data form the account of the "central bank".
