Today, the Bank of Italy hosted a seminar on Islamic finance with the goal of providing a forum for debate on the challenges deriving from the development of an Islamic finance industry in Europe. Representatives and experts from central banks, supervisory authorities, foreign and finance ministries, international institutions, academia and the private sector took part.
