The workshop followed the conclusion of a research project sponsored by the Research Department.
The project aimed at providing an overview of the tools to evaluate the efficiency of public services, at updating available results and at setting the framework to correctly address the main features.
The proceedings include four parts: a literature review and three studies concerning relevant sectors in terms of public resources employed, namely health care, public transportation and education. Each study is followed by a comments.
