Twenty-five years after the first edition, the volume The 'Salottino del Governatore' - A collection of valuable antique books, edited by Simonetta Schioppa in collaboration with Maria Grazia Masone and Monica Sinatra, has been republished in a completely revised edition. The catalogue, which belongs to the series 'The Paolo Baffi Library: Collections and Studies', describes the collection of books kept by Governors, in the antechamber to their office, known as 'Salottino'. A new introduction recounts the history of this collection, based on the study of the documents held in the Bank of Italy's Historical Archives. The records relating to the individual volumes have been corroborated with a careful and direct analysis of each one and are updated with references to online catalogues and indexes.
