The Queen of Holland takes part in the round table on Italy's G20 Agenda

Queen Máxima of Holland will take part in a round table organized by the Bank of Italy to discuss Italy's G20 Agenda, in her role as the UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development and as Honorary Patron of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI).

During the Italian presidency of the G20 in 2021, the GPFI will give priority to digital financial literacy for individuals and for micro and small enterprises on the one hand, and to consumer protection on the other.

In part thanks to the experience acquired from the pandemic, digitalization has asserted itself as a public good, providing opportunities for greater financial and digital inclusion that are vital for promoting more robust, sustainable and inclusive growth. Digitalization can also contribute to greater economic and financial resilience. Nevertheless, the risks must be managed, especially those linked to new forms of exclusion. In order to address such risks, policies are required for digital financial literacy and for consumer protection that can orient financial innovation towards the development of responsible and inclusive instruments.
