Testimony of Governor Visco before the Italian Senate on the Italian banking and financial system and the protection of savings

The Governor of the Bank of Italy, Ignazio Visco, spoke today before the Sixth Standing Committee of the Italian Senate (Finance and Treasury) as part of the fact-finding inquiry on the Italian banking and financial system and the protection of savings. The testimony also focused on supervision, crisis resolution and deposit guarantee schemes in Europe.
