Tenth Annual Meeting of the International Federation of Finance Museums: speech by Luigi Federico Signorini

Luigi Federico Signorini, Senior Deputy Governor of the Bank of Italy, spoke at the tenth meeting of the International Federation of Finance Museums, organized by the Bank of Italy together with Turin's Savings Museum. This year's theme was 'Digitalization and Financial Awareness'.

Luigi Federico Signorini spoke of the obstacles that financial education and, more generally, scientific dissemination and communication must overcome in order to reach the general public. He then focused on the importance of digitalization and how this, while it can simplify some educational challenges, may also pose new ones.

The conference was attended by guests from 33 countries and representatives of numerous cultural institutions, including the OECD.

The project for the Bank of Italy's new Money Museum (MUDEM), a permanent exhibition within the Carlo Azeglio Ciampi Centre dedicated to the dissemination of monetary and financial issues, was also illustrated during the conference.
